Overview
The Director of Admissions plays a crucial role by overseeing the admissions process and implementing marketing strategies to attract potential residents. They work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the facility meets occupancy goals and maintains a positive reputation in the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain potential residents.
- Conduct market research to identify target demographics and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to streamline the admissions process and ensure a smooth transition for new residents.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, such as hospitals, physicians, and community organizations.
- Coordinate and participate in community outreach events to promote the facility's services.
- Manage the facility's online presence, including the website and social media platforms.
- Oversee the development and distribution of marketing materials, such as brochures and newsletters.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in admissions and marketing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in admissions and marketing in the healthcare or long-term care industry.
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with referral sources and potential residents.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software and social media platforms for marketing purposes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for admissions and marketing in a skilled nursing facility.
